EPL: Wigan - Manutd goals

Manchester United moved to the brink of being crowned Champions again afer they saw off the challenge of an inspired Wigan at the JJB stadium. The champions now need just a single point from their remaining two matches to clinch the title. And they can do it against bitter rivals Arsenal at Old Trafford. This was not an easy match by any means. United had to come from being a goal down as Carlos Tevez proved to the man of the moment with this equaliser past the hour mark and pass master Michael Carrick scored the winner in the 86th minute to bring United closer to the title.

EPL: Manutd - Portsmouth goals

Manchester United went 3 points clear at the top of the Barclays Premier League with a victory against Portsmouth at Old Trafford. Wayne Rooney gave United an early lead. And Michael Carrick came of the bench and got the winner late in the second half. United returned to their near best with some cracking openings but their finishing was poor otherwise United would won by a better margin. With this victory, the Champions go three points clear of Liverpool with a game in hand. This match was the 600th appearance for Paul Scholes and 799th for Ryan Giggs.
