It would be an understatement if one said 2007-2008 season belonged to Cristiano Ronaldo. The dazzler from Portugal simply ruled the football world with his skill and most of all goals. He destroyed defenses and ended the season with the tags "English Champion" and "European Champion" and now "World Champion". And apart from that he swept the awards in England and he also named FIFA World Player of the Year, FIFPro World Player of the Year, PFA and FWA Player of the Year and the Ballon d'Or . Though its half the way into the current season, he is still receiving accolades for the work he put in last year.
