Manchester United's Serbian defender Nemanja Vidic is concentrating on helping his side win the title rather than next summer's World Cup.
The towering centre half is expected to line up for his country in their games at the World Cup, where they will play in a group with Germany, Ghana and Australia, having missed the 2006 tournament due to injury.
Vidic is not planning on looking that far ahead and wants to concentrate all his hard work on helping Manchester United win another English Premier League title.
A disappointing 1-0 defeat at home to Aston Villa at the weekend meant they missed an opportunity to draw level with Premier League leaders Chelsea after they drew 3-3 with Everton earlier in the day.
That means United still sit three points behind their West London rivals and will be looking to get their title ambitions back on track against Wolves on Tuesday night.
"There is still so much time to the World Cup so for now I am concentrating on the big matches I have with Manchester United," said Vidic.
United veterans Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes are being offered new contracts at Old Trafford and the defender added that he thought the duo were playing well and remain a key part of the side.
Sir Alex Ferguson said his side were unlucky in the Villa game but remains confident United can still mount a serious title challenge as other teams at the top will all drop points before the end of the season.
