Bleiberg – Perth ready for Glory

Gold Coast head coach Miron Bleiberg was in no doubt that Perth are capable of going on to win this year’s A-League title after watching his side demolished 4-0 by a scintillating Glory team.

The result, coming courtesy of goals from Steven McGarry, Liam Miller, Travis Dodd and an Adama Traore own goal, now means Ian Ferguson’s in-form Perth side are just two points behind second placed Wellington Phoenix and building the sort of form that will have leaders Central Coast looking over their shoulders.

After seeing his side torn apart by the Glory, Bleiberg admitted he wouldn’t be surprised to see Perth go on and mount a real challenge for this season’s title, highlighting the strength in depth available to Ferguson and offering their challenge as one of the season's best soccer betting tips.

“The way Glory played today, they are probably championship material.”

“The Mariners have proved they are very stable and very consistent and the Roar, at their best, are the best team and we saw that a few days ago. But ... with a bit of luck of the draw, Perth can go all the way,” added Ferguson.

“Any of these players on the bench today for Perth Glory could walk into our team with red carpet, so even if you have one or two injuries you've got the depth and I'm not sure the Roar have the depth or that the Mariners do.”

A fifth win from six matches has turned the club’s disappointing start to the season right around and given their league campaign a very different look about it. With six games left in the season, it’s going to take a massive effort for the club to be able to claw back Central Coast, however, on this sort of form then it’s definitely possible. For onlookers the end of the season is set to be highly tense with live soccer betting scheduled to go right up until the final whistle of the season.
