Dunn Ready for 'Three Cup Finals'

Blackburn captain, David Dunn, is preparing for "three cup finals", as Rovers fight to avoid the drop. Blackburn are currently dead certs for the drop in the Premier League best odds.

Victory over Norwich City at Ewood Park, on Saturday, ended a five-game losing streak, and kept Blackburn alive in the battle for Premier League survival.

Rovers’ position is far from comfortable, however. They remain second from bottom, three points from safety, with only three games to save their season.

Blackburn travel to face out-of-sorts Tottenham Hotspur, on Sunday, before hosting fellow strugglers, Wigan Athletic, on May 7. Steve Kean’s side complete their season with a tough trip to Chelsea on the final day of the season.

Kean and the club’s owners, Venky's, have come in for much criticism, this season, with off-field problems sometimes overshadowing matters on the pitch.

Dunn has called for focus during the final few weeks of the season, and is well aware that they cannot afford any more slip-ups.

"I think, this year, everyone knows it has been a really testing season for us, both on and off the pitch", he told Sky Sports News.

"We have got to go down to Tottenham, really give them a good game, and try and win. The Wigan game, a week after, is a really big one. I would say that the next three fixtures are three cup finals for us."

Blackburn could be as many as six points away from safety by the time they kick off against Spurs, on Sunday afternoon, should the sides immediately above them claim all three points.

In that scenario, a defeat at White Hart Lane would all but relegate Rovers. The Championship beckons for Blackburn, but they will not give up the fight. Tottenham are heavy favourites for the win in the Betfred latest odds.
